Summary
For centuries, it was me against them. Until the day came when everything changed. I had no one. Not until I found them. Or rather, until they found me. They’ve been watching me. Stalking me like I’m their prey. They’re vampires. They’re everything I’ve ever hated, and yet, I can’t bring myself to hate them.
All I’ve wanted is to watch them suffer as I burned the flesh from their bodies, but I can’t bring myself to do it. There is something about them that seems almost innocent. Not like any cold-blooded killer I’ve ever met.
I want to fight and take revenge for my family. But now I find out I’m being hunted to fulfill some prophecy. I want James. I want them all. I want to give up the control I desperately cling to and submit to them. There’s just one question I need answered first…
Will they help me get revenge for my family, or are they leading me to the sacrificial altar?
My Thoughts
The spice is 5 stars hands down! It is SO GOOD and SO SPICY! James and Emma together in his playroom is just wow. I loved all of the spice scenes, they were exquisite.
If you are looking for a plot heavy book, this is not the one for you. If you want kink and playroom scenes, and why choose/RH, this is for you.
I love a good quick read that has less plot and more spice, and this did not disappoint in that aspect. There were parts of the plot I did not understand and was confused about, but my main focus was the spice which I enjoyed. overall I’d give this 3.5 stars.
Couple of notes on the plot: SPOILERS
- If she is not a vampire, how is she 200 years old? I was very confused on this.
- Her whole family died and she seemed upset but not THAT upset? She seemed annoyed at her sister from the very first page.
- When she sees her siblings again as vampires, she isn’t shocked but just goes straight into hating them?? They hate her too??
- all of these men are obsessed with her? Is James just the most obsessed? I’m confused but not mad – I wish there was more RH/why choose scenes, and I can’t wait for hopefully individual scenes with them in the future.
